Surprise Attacks & Paradiddles are excited to host the launch of Soden’s 2nd LP “Onwards…Towards The Tundra” as part of Independent Venue Week 2020.
Soden will be playing the LP live in full, with a killer support bill including Plane Crasher and The Rusty Knives.

SODEN

Conjured up in 2014 by Block, Briggs and Moore. An instrumental wave of mesmerising guitar sounds, engulfing Bass and driving drums, set the melodic and dynamic atmosphere of Soden.

The band’s inspirations come from all genres, but they find their roots in bands such as – Earth, Low, Sonic Youth and Pelican.

Bending dynamics, crushing riffs and subtle time permutations set a visual scene for the listeners.

On their first full length released by Black Bow Records- Led By Foxes. Soden found their grounds and started to root into the scene, supporting bands such as – Dystopian Future Movies, Big|Brave, Samothrace.

Now with their upcoming 2nd full length- Onwards… Towards The Tundra, being released by Dirty Filthy Records on vinyl and Black Bow Records on all other platforms.
The progression in soundscape produces a live set not to be missed.

PLANE CRASHER

Pure rock fury from the age of Aquarius.

One of our very favourite bands, anyone who’s witnessed the fearsome live performance of Plane Crasher knows what to expect here and the uninitiated are in for a treat. A beast of a band. Huge riffs, a freight train rhythm section and intense, fevered vocals. Musically sitting somewhere between Black Flag, Kyuss, classic garage psych punk and noise rock. Not to be missed.

The Rusty Knives are a two piece Alt- Punk combo belched from the bowels of Worcester. Playing a psychotic blend of hardcore punk and supercharged garage rock, The Rusty Knives are on a mission to prove to nothing to anyone. Using the sheer power of dumb ass brute force and simplicity, a sophisticated blend of influences is ignored and abused underneath a fearsome racket.
